How To Enhance Mature Skin

Sharing is caring!

Do you feel like your face has melted? Of as late, I feel my face has had a gravity attack! I am vain enough, that I aim to do whatever it takes,(short of plastic surgery), for my face to appear more youthful. It’s just me! You may or may not concern yourself with such vanity and that’s fine. In all honesty, I have to admit, I have not been consistent lately with my skincare routine, as I normally do. So, stands to reason, why I feel my face is not looking it’s best. Would you like to learn how to enhance your mature skin and learn a few makeup tricks to give you a more lifted look? I’m in.

How Many Moisturizers Do I Need To Enhance My Mature Skin?

As a former, beauty consultant with Estee Lauder cosmetics at department stores, I want to explain something, I am a true believer in the Estee Lauder brand. I loved their products even before I became a beauty consultant with the line. So, the question is, “How many moisturizers do I need?

Well, because my skin seems to change from day to day, it seems. I have several I use, not to say you need several. But, as my skin is maturing, some days it’s dry and other days, it needs more hydration than others. Which is a result of being dry. But, I also love a moisturizer that firms and causes wrinkles to be less noticeable.

My choice of moisturizers, has been primarily between two formulas. I love Estee Lauders’ Resilience Multi-Effect, Tri-Peptide Face and Neck Creme with a broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 15. I also love the Night version. When I put the Night creme on and lay in the bed, just before going to sleep, I think I feel the product actually firming my skin. Anyway, I love it! The other choice I use as well, is Revitalizing Supreme +, it’s a Global Anti-aging cell power creme with a sunscreen SPF 15. I do like a moisturizer with a sunscreen factor of at least 15, and a foundation with a sunscreen factor of at least 15 too. I am not one to put sunscreen on my face, then moisturizer, then primer, then foundation. Just too many steps for me.

I know there are other brands, that are beautiful products as well. Whether it be a Luxury brand or a so called, “Drug Store” brand. There are many amazing products available. Because, in the world of beauty, there is always something new, results driven products to be produced and marketed.

What About Makeup Application?

I am learning everyday, how to apply the less is more idea about makeup application for mature skin. There are many methods, with a brush, with a sponge, with finger patting. There are also products with less coverage or more hydrating foundations. I have always worn makeup since the age of 13 years old. Of course, then it was a light touch. But now as I have aged, I am having to find that light touch again. It has been a challenge for me, but it must be done. There are many youtube.com channels of ladies showing different products and ways to enhance mature skin. I am sharing one here.

Below is a video of one of the many ladies I follow on youtube.com about how to have a more youthful look, by correcting the 5 makeup mistakes we are doing that ages us. This is quite enlightening for me, as I have always had a problem with putting on eyeliner. I could put it on others, but on myself, it was another story. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this short video. I am going to give the idea a try for myself.
